Lookup Wyoming business names using the entity search on the Secretary of State’s website. The portal provides access to public corporate records including annual reports, tax notices, and entity amendments. Searching by business name helps determine if a proposed entity name is distinguishable from the list of registered active and inactive entities.

1. Visit the SOS Business Center
2. Search Database
To perform a search, enter a business name or keyword, select the desired filter (Starts With or Contains), and click Search. Alternatively, entities can be searched by filing ID (see image).
3. View Results
All companies in the database that match the search criteria will be displayed, including their name, ID number, entity structure, status, tax/registered agent standing, and registration date. Click on any of the results to learn more about the company.
The page will display the notice NO RESULTS FOUND if the searched keywords do not match any names currently in the SOS database (see image). It’s possible that the name is available for a new entity, but statutory requirements and other naming guidelines will apply.
4. Browse Entity Details
Upon clicking on a business from the search results, a new page will display all the info from the results list as well as the company’s term of duration, formation state, fictitious name, principal office address, and mailing address.
